My name is Rob Balla. I am a Father to 4 wonderful children, and owner of businesses in Hamilton Ontario.. I have been practicing meditation for 7 years. The purpose for meditation was to find stillness and to quiet my mind. To live in the present moment and accept the isness of the moment.
2021 was definitely a year of loss and suffering for me personally. We were layered with the social debilitations of covid and I went through personal losses of loved ones. My primary attention needed to be placed on myself and my children to find healing, strength and awareness of the new reality.
It was in incomprehensibly difficult... lots of tears and heart ache.. the only option was to find ways to move forward. Of course I needed to ensure that my businesses and clients were being serviced to the highest level while caring for my kids.
I also knew I needed to lead my family in terms of setting the example of demonstrating different ways of going through grief, loss pain and suffering.
Everyone grieves at different stages and in different ways. Loss of a close loved one can manifest in children in many different ways...I needed to ensure that they were able to feel comfortable in expressing themselves. It was paramount to go through the suffering and not push it away with distractions or substance use. The suffering needed to get burned up until there was nothing left. Envision your house slowly burning to the ground...a very slow burning....a burning which takes many months or even years to burn out. Just when you think all is burned away and there is still some of the structure left it continues to burn. Then there is the ground smoke which may never dissipate but it does slow. This is how to approach suffering. You need to burn it up until there is nothing left.
Hence my meditation and self reflecting increased tremendously. My attention was living in the present moment, allowing, accepting and surrendering to the what is. I needed to step back from all the thoughts which would arise from anger, resentment, guilt, sadness etc...
Eventually with more meditation and awareness the emotional sufferings dialed down in intensity. I was able to apply the healing benefits of going into the deeper dimension of "Being" into more areas of my life.
As we do a deeper dive into ourselves we can't help but to notice the narratives and stories our mind or the ego has created for itself over the years.
We eventually become more free from the narratives which limit us and begin to find more purpose in our life through conscious manifestation.

The goal is when you realize you are not your thoughts but so much more...you are the presence that you feel which is connected to the universe.
