Why do people meditate

If you find is stressful and you are burdened with thoughts then meditation is a wonderful reset!

Most people meditate to simply quiet the mind of incessant and or thinking which causes stress, anxiety, suffering, depression.  Even if you don't experience those burdens meditation can allow you to tune into a deeper sense of self. If you are new to meditation sensory awareness is a gateway to a deeper dimension within you. A dimension of stillness, joy and quiet. Millions of people meditate in different ways...however the end goal is all the same.

The picture below shows a traditional meditation sitting pose. You do not need to sit like this. You can choose to sit whatever way which makes you feels comfortable. With inner body awareness you can take notice to different parts of your body and feel the energy of it's essence. It's truly about allowing accepting and surrendering yourself to the present moment.
